Muchos niegan el acoso a los indocumentados en Estados Unidos, pero lo cierto es que se está dando un cambio considerable en el número de jornaleros disponibles en todo el país a raíz de la instauración de leyes que persiguen a los que no tienen sus papeles en regla. El último capítulo se ha escrito en Colorado, donde se van a empezar a emplear a los presos en el campo ante el éxodo de jornaleros indocumentados por el miedo a que los deporten.

El director provisional del programa de rehabilitación laboral dependiente del Departamento Correccional de Colorado, Steve Smith, comunicó esta semana a granjeros y a la Cámara de Comercio del condado Pueblo la medida adoptada.

Los granjeros de Colorado han explicado que se enfrentan a un grave problema de escasez de mano de obra tras la entrada en vigor de las leyes inmigratorias aprobadas en el estado.

La dureza contra los indocumentados ha hecho que miles de inmigrantes que trabajan en los campos en Colorado se hayan marchado a otros estados con medidas menos rigurosas.

I find it extremely amusing that Marie preaches knowledge of the language yet she can't even write it herself. All her post is doing is confirming how racism and discrimination are a product of ignorance.

This country was built by immigrants, you could argue that many of them came in to this country legally, but you can also argue that every single one of these groups also had their share of criminals crossing over, every race/nationality unfortunately has a group of people that do things that disgrace their kind, but it is no reason to generalize and argue that all illegal immigrants coming in through Mexico are criminals. A large percentage of these people came here to work because of the lack of opportunities in their Country.

I am not for 'Illegal' immigration either, but the process to enter this country is ridiculously strict and takes way to long. Yes, we need to stop illegal immigration, but if the process was easier there would be more people coming in to this country legally.

Hate, discrimination and racism are not the answer...

Oh by the way Marie, maybe you can check out your local Community College for some English courses, your grammar just makes you look dumb when trying to make a point about ignorance...
